Website Redesign to be Mobile Responsive
Our client, Rob Eagar of Wildfire Marketing, while happy with the look and feel of his current website, was ready to undertake the conversion of his website to be mobile responsive in order to meet the Google standards for mobile-friendliness put in place in 2015.
Incorporating New Web Design Trends
Web design trends continuously change, and a website will begin to show it’s age after 3 or 4 years depending on the design. Rather than invest in converting his existing design (which was a couple of years old) to be mobile responsive, Rob opted to redesign incorporating some modern web design trends.
These modern touches include a large home page hero area with clear calls to action, large clear typography, a static navigation menu on desktop, and a hidden/collapsed mobile menu (the hamburger menu).
Keeping the Same Look and Feel
While we incorporated some new trends in the layout of the new website, it was also important to maintain the look and feel of the current website in terms of colors, textures and overall mood. The new design uses many of the same colors and background textures as the previous site conveying the same feeling of warmth, stopping just short of showing “wildfire” in a literal way.
We are very pleased with the end result, as is Rob…here’s what he has to say:
