WordPress Security Release 4.4.1: Immediate Update Recommended

WordPress 4.4.1 is now available.

This is a security release for all previous versions and WordPress strongly encourages everyone to update sites immediately.

WordPress versions 4.4 and earlier are affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability that could allow a site to be compromised. This was reported by Crtc4L.

What You Need to Do

If you are enrolled in the Website Maintenance and Monitoring plan, we will back up your site and update your WordPress automatically, so you don’t need to do anything.
